BOARD LEADERSHIP

Throughout her career, Maya has been committed to effecting change and making a social impact. She is often approached to help mission-driven organizations achieve impact. As a globally recognized social entrepreneur, she brings her executive experience, knowledge and understanding of what it takes to run a successful nonprofit social enterprise to the numerous boards she has the honor of serving on. 

Maya sits on the boards of several socially innovative organizations making a difference in the lives of women, children and vulnerable, underserved populations. She serves on the board of Echoing Green, which once granted her a fellowship to found the nonprofit Global Fund for Children. She also serves on the boards of North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, Kids in Need of Defense and Sibley Memorial Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine. In addition, Maya sits on several advisory boards, including those of the American India Foundation and Washington Area Women’s Foundation.
